The Actual trip

     I guess some of last weeks should be in here but whatever. This is more of what they will being doing on the road.

From my house to Disney world is 701 miles So Harlan and Fallon have to make that trip. There is a toll booth somewhere along the way. but its the shortest way. There is another way, I don't think it has a toll, BUT it's longer by 81 miles. that's not to bad but I think for the purpose of interesting writing I'm just going to the the blue one.

(When I saved this I Titled it Road Less Traveled)

     So for the boy's trip. Their trip is longer. oops. The shortest trip is over 12 hours with 829 miles.

there is a toll. though looking at it I see that there is a point where their paths would cross if for Fallon and Harlan I choose 728 mile one. Not sure I want to do that though.

     I Want to talk about traffic. They will get caught in it. at least twice. I don't want them to constantly be stuck in traffic though because that would be terribly boring and the trip would last forever. (it's already long enough. I kinda feel bad for making them drive this far..)

Feelings for the trip. (Sorry I posted this late)

     Fallon is driving with Harlan for the first few hours of the ride. I've kinda made a point to say they she's nerves about leaving home. She worried that if something happens she won't make it back in time.
     I want to make a point where Harlan falls asleep and starts snoring. Like Really loud and it freaks Fallon out so she stops at a gas station and buys coffee and water for them.
     I want Harlan to constantly be snacking the whole way. If they pass a sign that says there is a gas station or a market he has to stop and eat or pee. I want him to be so annoying with the stops that Fallon takes the wheel again just so they can keep going. I want to end this part with Harlan falling back asleep and snoring again.


      In the car with the boys I want them to be fighting over who gets to choose the music. So Gray Puts on something they both will like to stop the tension but Corbin lets the song play for only a few seconds before changing it to something else.
      However the sibling tension will subside when Corbin starts asking is Gray is going to be trying to hit on girls the whole time and they will laugh and it will be adorable.
      Corbin is kinda tense from the fight with their parents so to get his mind off it he starts play disney songs with the volume all the way up. Gray will sigh and sing along because even if he act tough he's secretly a disney prince.


I feel like I should describe their cars.

Fallon's Car

     I want to have a car that is this color. It doesn't have to be this model but it looked up a Kia forte koup because thats the car I have. (I'm not saying fallon is based off me..lol)

     I think this color is beautiful and I think it's something she would like.

Now the boy's car is kinda tricky (Why is everything for them hard to write?!) I want to give Gray a truck but I don't want him to be a stereotypical country boy. Ya know? But I don't want to gieve them some fancy car that they would never drive. I do know that I want it to be red,

     I don't know if any of that will actually make it to the story. I guess i just wanted to make a point of it in case it does. I want my readers to come up with whatever they think the car would be... I dunno. Car stuff is hard.

Setting Outline.

     There is basically two settings. The Ford boys are from  Marlinton WV. That setting is a bit difficult to tackle considering I've never been there. Fact I hadn't even heard of it til I started this Project. I looked up a few pictures and this is what I found.

 This looks like Town square, maybe. I think I can work it into the story. Talk about the old theater was Gray's favorite place for dates. Maybe mention how the whole town would get together and sing Christmas carols or how cool the decorations were on Halloween. I also found these pictures which I actually did research on.
















So This adorable building is a train station near the front of the town. It is so freaking cute I want to live there. I have decided this is Corbin's favorite place in the town and he would sneak out at night to meet boys there. Cute huh?

Sadly it burned down but the town plans to rebuild. I want to make the Corbin to be 

at the Station when the fire starts and him sobbing as he watches it burn down.

So since I don't know much about Marlinton I'm going to use it as the base for my town which will not be called Marlinton, just kinda like it and in WV. I don't want to end up like David Tennet in the Decoy Bride (basically his character writes a book about a place he had never been to and the whole island hated the book and it caused problems. (Good movie, you should watch it.))

Then Fallon and Harlan are from Hendersonvile. Again I don't really want to USE the name Hendersonvile for the town they are from but I want it to be like here. I know this place like the back of my hand but I don't want to change someones perspective of Hendersonvile based on my beliefs.

Disney Land is Disney Land. THE WHOLE BOOK IS ABOUT DISNEY LAND!! Well the trip to Disney Land and falling in love at Disney Land. Disney Land is important to this book. I think at this point that's a bit clear.

I want to talk about their individual trips. Every ones feelings and emotions while they're driving. So on so forth. 

I want to mention who's driving.

Who picks the music. 

How the other person feel's about the music playing.

I'm currently writing Corbin's first chapter. (Chapter four.) I think this is going really well. 

Character Outline Thingy

      So I've got chapter one and two complete. Well mostly, editing is a must. Here I guess I'm really just gonna give a short backroom on the characters.

Fallon- Just graduated high school and has been accepted to Alabama . She wants to own her own Art gallery . Harlan is her best friend. They friends since they were children. She comes to him with her boy troubles even though she doesn't date often. She's incredibly cautious but she loves with her whole heart. Shes giggly and smart but also super shy. She keep your secrets forever. She wants to go to Disney land because as a child her family would sit around their small tv and watch Disney princess movies for hours. She is from Hendersonville TN.

Harlan- Harlan is kinda a hot mess. He's super clumsy and shy. He also just graduated. He's also going to Alabama and They plan to get an apartment together. He drops or breaks everything he touches. He plans to be a musician. He loves just as much as Fallon. He's gay and his parents know and are supportive however not around enough. He wants to go to Disney because he's never left Tennessee and he wants to travel before settling down.

Corbin- Wants to college near Marlinton. He's understanding and smart. He wants to be poet but he isn't in college. He lives with his bother Gray. They were kicked out because Corbin is gay and his parents are homophobic. He wants to go to Disney to get away from his family. He doesn't want to live near them since they hate him.

Gray- Is not in college but lives with his brother in an apartment near a great college that Corbin plans to attend. He is daring and he isn't afraid to fight for what he want's. He's tough on the outside but super sweet on the inside. He loves his brother so when he stood at his side when  his parents kicked Corbin out they kicked him out too. He wants to go to Disney to support his brother.
